Woo Hoo!! Our Story has Inspired a Film

Military Wives movie. Picture: Lionsgate

We're super excited to be able to share the trailer for the movie 'Military Wives' with you.

This film is inspired by the story of the Military Wives of Chivenor and Plymouth who sang 'Wherever You Are' at the Festival of Remembrance in 2011 and the very first choir in Catterick, The Military Wags Choir Catterick Garrison.

Like our very own story and those of the individual choir members, the film focuses on a group of women who form close friendships and an undeniably close bond when they set-up a choir to support each other whilst their loved ones are serving in the British Armed Forces.

Kristin Scott Thomas and Catastrophe star Sharon Horgan play the lead roles in the movie.

It also stars Downton Abbey's Emma Lowndes, Greg Wise, Jason Flemyng, Gaby French, Lara Rossi, Amy James-Kelly and India Ria Amarteifio among others.

The film has been directed by The Full Monty's Peter Cattaneo, with the score being composed by Mission: Impossible – Fallout's Lorne Balfe.
